I will never forget the first time I stumbled onto Tara Mohr's website. It was my first real experience in finding a life coach. I don't think I was specifically looking for a life coach. In fact, I wasn't certain what I'd found, but I knew it felt like home. I felt comforted. Soothed. Like someone knew what I was thinking and feeling. I knew I HAD to talk to this woman.
Here's an excerpt that I wrote in my journal about finding Tara's site.
"When I saw this website and started reading I let out a big sigh. A sigh of joy and relief that I had found someone who seemed like they would know exactly how I was feeling and someone who could help guide me.”
I eventually did work with her, and it was the beginning of my life coaching journey.
Now I'm thrilled to be a life coach, and it's my highest hope that I can provide someone with the same sense of relief I felt when I found Tara and life coaching.
So, what the heck is a life coach anyway?
It's often explained this way...when you are sick, you see a doctor. When you are feeling well and want to perform at your best physically, you work with a trainer. If you are having mental health issues, you see a therapist. When you are mentally well and wanting to achieve more, you work with a life coach.
A life coach can help you bridge the gap from where you are to where you want to be. They can help you identify what matters most, what goals you want to work towards, help you be more productive, and offer accountability towards making things happen. A life coach can provide structure, tools, and support for you to get where you'd like to be.
Wanna know a secret? YOU already hold all the answers inside of you! It's true! And a life coach will ask you all the right questions to help you discover what's holding you back and how to move beyond your limiting beliefs.
Who can benefit from working with a life coach?
Creative people, small business owners, entrepreneurs, stay at home moms...basically anyone can benefit from working with a life coach. A life coach can help you with just about anything from relationships and losing weight to getting unstuck and goal setting. You name it, and there's a life coach for it.
Why I became a life coach:
There are so many reasons for my why. Here are a few:
I've loved self help for many, many years. It's sorta my jam! And I'm also happiest when I'm learning something new. Being a life coach gives me the opportunity to be constantly learning within the coaching field, and also as an entrepreneur.
I have received the help of a few different coaches over the years. The work I've done with the help of my coaches has been life changing! I want to help other women experience that. I love helping women feel empowered to make changes in their life.
It's an incredible privilege to hear each of my client's stories. It's an honor that I don't take for granted. Helping women fills my heart and spirit in a way that nothing else ever has.
As I said before, it is my highest hope that I can inspire and provide creative women a comforting place to land as I guide them in making changes and creating a life they love.
So how can we work together?
Currently, I'm offering two different coaching programs.
Six Session Coaching Package:
This coaching package is intended to help you stop merely going through the motions of life and start making time and space in your life for what you truly crave. It will help you get clear on what matters most to you and what brings you joy so you can begin adding those things into your life ASAP!
The BARE Program:
The BARE Program is designed to help you learn to love yourself and your body exactly as it is right now. It will help you ditch dieting forever and put an end to emotional eating. This program will teach you how to change your thoughts and stop using food to numb unpleasant feelings.
I hope this post helps you to better understand what a life coach is and how awesome coaching can be. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to me via email at email@example.com.
